Main Resorts

Santorini is the icon: volcanic caldera cliffs dotted with blue-domed chapels, boutique cave hotels with infinity pools, and fiery sunsets over Oia that stop you in your tracks every evening.

Mykonos is Greece's most cosmopolitan island — Little Venice windmills, designer boutiques, world-famous beach clubs, and a nightlife scene that runs until dawn.

Crete is the largest Greek island and a destination in itself: the Minoan Palace of Knossos, the Samariá Gorge hike, the pink beach of Elafonisi, and legendary Cretan cuisine all on one island.

Rhodes combines a perfectly preserved medieval Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), golden sandy beaches on the east coast, and the ancient hilltop ruins of Lindos.

Corfu is the greenest of the Greek islands — lush olive groves, Venetian fortresses, and turquoise Ionian waters, with a distinctly Italian flavour in its architecture and food.

What to See & Do

  • Athens — the Acropolis and Parthenon, the National Archaeological Museum, Monastiraki flea market, and superb rooftop restaurants
  • Delphi — the ancient oracle site perched on the slopes of Mount Parnassus above the Gulf of Corinth
  • Meteora — dramatic monasteries built on top of towering rock pillars in central Greece; a UNESCO site
  • Thessaloniki — Byzantine churches, the White Tower, and Greece's most celebrated food scene
  • Island-hopping — ferry connections between islands make it easy to combine Santorini + Crete or Mykonos + Naxos in one trip

Best Time to Visit

May – June is the sweet spot: warm sunshine, fewer crowds than July/August, and lower prices — the sea is already warm for swimming from late May.

July – August is peak season: temperatures reach 35 °C, the islands are packed, and accommodation sells out months in advance.

September – October is excellent: the summer heat softens, tourist hordes thin, and the sea is at its warmest (24–26 °C after summer).
